BackBend of Ra'asa Naemet Mokhtar

This here is a old clip of Ra'asa Naemet Mokhtar, a fabulous dancer I learned about on Tribe.net about a week ago. I love watching old fashion bellydance clips, usually the clips are pulled from full screen movies but I never really mind much about that. The actors in the background are humours I think.

When I first heard of Ra'asa Naemet Mokhtar, I heard she had incredible shimmies and lively dance energy. So I decided to check out the clip.

My first impression of the dancer was that yes she has some really interesting shimmies. To me her shimmies look like tiny wiggles, it's really cute and gentle. Her shimmies are very control and she often likes to combine them with stomach undulations and choo-choo shimmies.

I absolutely love her costume. That petal skirt is beautiful, I love the way it catches the wind when she spins. Her costume reveals much of her legs (which I'm not a big of) but it still looks classy and sassy.

One of her most compelling features is her dreamy performance facial expression. I adore the way she smiles and poses. Her facial expression is sexy, elegant and flirtatious. She pretends to be coy while at the same time wants to be a tease.

Now the MOST amazing part of this clip is when Ra'asa Naemet Mokhtar does her backbend. She does a backbend like no other dancer I have seen. It's as if she was made of pure rubber. Please watch this clip to see what I mean:
